At Spotted by Locals, "we handpick our locals (“Spotters”) and meet them in person in their city. Our Spotters live in the city they write about, speak the local language, write only about their favorite spots, and keep their articles up-to-date".
It gives visitors or newcomers a chance therefore, to see a city as people who live there see it, as opposed to taking advice from the “professional” opinions of commercial city guides. What also sets it apart from the regular city guides is the fact that it’s flexible and always up-to-date.
A variety of information is given, including on local dishes or restaurants that must not be missed. Visitors can therefore enjoy a place as much as its residents do and avoid all those tourist-traps, which are often more advertised or have more publicity.
Spotted by locals is available online on your computer or smartphone, or as a pdf. Why lose time and go to all the “touristy” places when you could enjoy what the local people do best in their own town or city? In sum, all of the above makes it a very unique experience.
